Last week, we hosted the Cost of Being Her campaign and extended it to satellite campuses including Regent Street, Northop and St. Asaph. The campaign was a week-long initiative dedicated to supporting and empowering women across the student community while raising awareness of the social, financial, and emotional costs they continue to face.
Throughout the week, students were invited to engage with conversations around gender inequality, wellbeing, and the everyday realities that can disproportionately affect women in all aspects of life. We also had stallholders in attendance to support, including SU Advice and CoppaFeel!

A highlight of the campaign was the distribution of free toiletries and period products, boosting our Period Dignity campaign and helping reduce financial pressures many students experience. Alongside this, we were incredibly grateful to receive a generous donation from WINGS Wrexham, whose contribution made a meaningful difference to what we were able to provide during the week.

The Cost of Being Her campaign was a reminder that small actions can have a big impact, and we’re proud to continue working towards the removal of barriers to continuously enhance your student experience!
