As your President for the year ahead, it’s an honour to have been re-elected to serve a second term in office. I’m going to be continuing to build on my manifesto, particularly with the relaunch of MateSpace, my monthly catch-ups and making sure your voice is the most important voice at the University.
My monthly catch-up gives you the opportunity to learn about what I’ve been up to over the last month. It’s also a chance for you to message or email me about any queries/issues you have so that I can take them straight to senior University committees and report back to you.
MateSpace makes forming connections simple. It’s a Facebook group for Glyndwr students to find connections, whether that be coursemates, flatmates or anyone with mutual interests. Not only that, but it’s a place you can ask questions, share news on Glyndwr-related topics or even use it to sell your old course textbooks to members of the group. It’s completely safe as all members have to be approved and the group is moderated by the WGSU team. Join MateSpace here
We hope you’re as excited as we are for the new semester and academic year at WGU. We’ve got a lot of exciting things planned for Freshers’ in particular, so please do stay tuned on our website and social media channels to make sure you’re the first to know about everything that’s happening.
Freshers’ wristbands are on sale now at £15 each and earn you access to all of our events throughout the week without paying for each individual evening event on the door. We do have a limited number on sale so be sure to reserve yours on our website here
If you do need to contact me, then you can direct message me on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using the handle WGSUPresident. Alternatively, you can send me an email to supresident@glyndwr.ac.uk.
