This is one of our favourite times of the year. What’s all the fuss about? Well… let us tell you!

Celebrating student and staff success

The WGSU Awards allows both students and staff at Wrexham Glyndwr University to come together to celebrate their achievements over the past academic year. First, nominations are cast in a number of different categories, then these are shortlisted according to a set criteria. You can nominate in categories ranging from teaching and representation, societies and sports and professional/operational services.

The unsung heroes

Perhaps you want to praise someone who works hard behind the scenes? More often than not, it’s the unsung heroes who are doing some fantastic work and really make a positive difference. It could be the staff member in the cafe who remembers your coffee order, or it could be the lecturer who spends that extra bit of time making sure you understand your assignment.

It’s not all about getting a trophy (though they are pretty nice)

As lovely as the winners trophies will be on Awards night, the gesture of nominating somebody in itself is enough to make someones day. So with that in mind, do YOU know someone currently at Wrexham Glyndwr University who has gone above and beyond, either a student, staff member or team deserving of special recognition?
