Go Green Week 2026 is here! Come and take part in a week of fun, sustainable activities and events across campus.

 

Monday 23rd-Friday 27th March

Monday 23rd March

Hafsa’s Sustainable Monday - 12-2pm, Glyn’s Bar & Lounge
Join your VP Hafsa for a variety of activities, including henna, planting, flower crown making, and much more!
You can also find out more about recycling with Wrexham Council and make a Green Pledge to live more sustainably. Free reusable coffee mugs and other green gifts will be available.

 

Tuesday 24th March

Make a Green Pledge and Make a Difference! 11am-1pm, University Main Reception
We’re asking staff and students to make a pledge to live more sustainably — anything from having a Veggie Monday to switching off lights when you leave a room. Make a pledge and you could win a reusable mug or lunch box!

 

Green Roots & Quiz - 12-2pm, University Communal Garden
Join your VP Hafsa in the Communal Garden to plant herbs, flowers, and vegetables to take away with you, followed by a green-themed quiz in Glyn’s.

 

Glyngo Bingo - Doors 6:30pm, eyes down 7pm (free event)
Glyngo Bingo returns for Go Green 2026 with over £300 worth of prizes, including Stanley and Yeti cups, a soup maker, and a 40-inch TV. Please arrive on time to collect your game book and dabber!

 

Wednesday 25th March

On Your Bike! Sustainable Travel Event - 12-2pm, Glyn’s Bar & Lounge
Drosi Bikes, TFW, and North Wales Police will be joining us to promote student savings on fares, free bike services, and anti-theft paint marking. Get useful tips on staying safe on the roads and using public transport.

 

Thursday 26th March

Make a Green Pledge and Make a Difference! - 11am-1pm, Regent Street Main Foyer
We’re asking staff and students to make a pledge to live more sustainably - from Veggie Mondays to switching off lights when you leave a room. Make a pledge and you could win a reusable mug or lunch box!

We'll be showing a crucial fixture for the Wales national team on the big screen in Glyn's! Kick-off 7:45pm. Student deals on all night!

Friday 27th March

Food Parcel Friday: Green Edition! - 12-2pm, Glyn’s Bar & Lounge
Join your President, Freya, for a special edition of their campaign, featuring organic, sustainable, and vegetarian cupboard fillers, fresh fruit and veg, and much more - all free of charge for you to enjoy at home.
