Hi! I'm Lauren, the Communications and Engagement Coordinator at Wrexham Students' Union. 

I'm originally from Crewe, Cheshire, but Wrexham is very much my adopted home! I was previously a Wrexham University student, and I've worked in the Students' Union here for over six years now; originally employed as a student receptionist and digital marketing assistant before being elected as President for 21/22 and 22/23. Since finishing my role as President a couple of years back, I am now responsible for the SU's social media channels, design work, supporting elected officers and the staff team with promoting events and campaigns, and more!

I love my role here because it allows me to be creative while helping our students have the best time ever, and keeping you informed about what we're doing through our digital presence is a huge part of that! 

I try to avoid the cliche of 'I fell into students' unions', but having not really known exactly what I wanted to do with my degree, I'm glad this is where I landed. I'm really passionate about the student movement and love all things students' unions! 

In my free time, some of my interests include video games to feed my nerdism, football and exploring new places, especially if it involves me being fed. I'm also equally partial to a night in with binge-worthy TV or some trivia games!
